Meet the Doctors
Dr. Steven Hernandez
Doctor Steven Hernandez graduated from the U.S.C. School of Dentistry in 1989. Dr. Hernandez joined Baseline Dental Practice in 1994. He enjoys cosmetic and restorative dentistry. Dr. Hernandez is an active member of the American Dental Association, California Dental Association, and Tri-County Dental Association. In his free time he enjoys spending time with his family in outdoor activities such as camping, skiing, and surfing. Dr. Hernandez is married and has two boys who attend Cal Poly Pomona and U.S.C. School of Dentistry.
Dr. Richard Buck
Doctor Richard Buck graduated from the U.O.P. School of Dentistry in 2007. After graduation he returned here to his home town, Alta Loma, to join Baseline Dental Practice. Joining Baseline Dental Practice was a smooth transition as Dr. Buck had already been a life long patient of the practice. He loves to provide his patients with all aspects of dental care. While some dentists only do a few procedures, Dr. Buck states, "my goal is to provide all my patient's dental care under one roof." He is certified in Invisalign braces, implant dentistry, and Botox for the treatment of TMJ disorders. In addition, his favorite dental procedure is removing wisdom teeth. Outside of dentistry Dr. Buck enjoys playing sports, working out, and the occasional karaoke night with his friends. His newest love is laughing with his wife, Julie, whom he married in March of 2014.
Dr. Maurice Firouz
Doctor Maurice Firouz is currently practicing clinical orthodontics with particular emphasis in cranio-dental development. He is also an Invisalign premier preferred certified provider. Upon graduation from Beverly Hills high school, he attended UC Irvine, majoring in biological sciences. He then received his doctor of dental surgery degree from UCLA, having graduated with numerous honors. Dr. Firouz then enrolled in the orthodontics program at the university of Connecticut health center, completing a rigorous program with emphasis on research, and the physics of tooth movement. During that time, he was a member of the admissions committee. Upon completion of his orthodontic residency, he was offered a position as a lecturer at UCLA school of dentistry, department of orthodontics. At the time, Dr. Firouz was the youngest faculty member at the age of 24. In that capacity, he was the chairman of the orthodontic lab course,and taught orthodontic principles to dental students and graduate residents. Additionally, he has lectured to professional dental organizations, and held volunteer positions at the assistance league of upland, and at UCLA Venice clinic. His research has been published in the American Journal of Orthodontics. Dr. Firouz has successfully treated over 10,000 adults and children over the course of his career, with complex cases involving, orthognathic surgery, orthopedic development, preventive orthodontics, and adult Invisalign. Dr. Firouz belongs to many professional organizations including the American Association of Orthodontists, California and American dental associations. He has three children, with two of them have graduated from USC with honors. He enjoys playing basketball and soccer, swimming, and traveling. Dr. Firouz speaks English, Farsi, and Spanish.
